Havering SENDIASS provides free, impartial, and confidential information, advice, and support on Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) matters related to education, health, and social care. This includes guidance on SEND law, local policies, SEND support in schools, Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans, mediation, SENDIST Tribunal appeals, disagreements, and complaint procedures. The service supports parents/carers of children with SEND aged 0-16 years and young people aged 16-25 years with SEND who live in Havering. Support is delivered via a blended approach, including emails, telephone, and attendance at meetings, which can be face-to-face or virtual. This is a self-referral service; individuals must contact them directly to access support. Professionals should signpost individuals to contact the service directly.
