IRIS is a general practice base domestic abuse and violence (DVA) support and referral programme, for primary care staff to use, to help support their patients who are suffering from DVA or who have experienced DVA in the past.
IRIS provides clear care pathways for all patients living with abuse as well as information and sign posting for perpetrators.
The IRIS service is for all GP patients and staff aged 16 or over, whatever age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity or background.
GP Practices must be trained before a referral can be made via IRIS. Referral forms are available on your clinical system and these can be emailed to referrals@aanchal.org.uk
