Loughborough University Neighbourhood Mental Health Café
Verified service

The Neighbourhood Mental Health Café provides accessible and safe support to individuals who are experiencing difficulties with their emotional wellbeing and mental health.

Anyone accessing the café can expect immediate face-to-face support including referring or signposting to longer-term support, wellbeing activities such as mindfulness and creative arts, themed workshops, and confidential one-to-one support to discover coping strategies, and undertake action planning and problem solving with a trained member of staff.

How does it work?
The café operates a drop-in service which means that anybody requiring immediate support with their mental health can turn up during our opening hours – No appointment necessary.

If you would prefer a 1-2-1 appointment, these can be booked 3 days in advance by calling us on 0116 216 4340. Alternatively, you can book an appointment when in attendance at the café (subject to availability).

If you are unable to attend the café in person, you can contact us by email during the café opening hours at: nmhc@llrmind.org
