Rutland Adult Learning and Skills Service (RALSS)

RALSS is part of Rutland County Council and offers a range of learning opportunities to adults aged 19+ from its centre on the outskirts of Oakham.

We can help you to develop your essential English, maths or digital skills, gain life-saving First Aid knowledge, explore a variety of arts and crafts, learn a new language, gain accredited qualifications and more.

Some courses - English, Maths, Digital Skills and other qualifications - are free. Others, e.g. Arts or Languages, are paid but we offer concessions on course fees if you claim certain benefits or have a low household income. We can also provide financial assistance to remove barriers that may prevent you from attending our qualification courses, such as travel or childcare costs.

Through our free Information, Advice and Guidance Service, we can also help with creating or updating your CV, searching for or applying for jobs, or finding the appropriate course.
