Yoga 4 Health programme

Yoga 4 Health is a 10 week yoga programme for patients who would like to improve their health and well being.

The Yoga4Health programme has been shown to be
highly effective at raising patient activation and helping patients to make sustainable lifestyle change through
a daily yoga practice.
This is an early intervention/prevention programme for patients who need support to
change to more health habits because they are: -
At risk of cardio-vascular disease
At risk of Type 2 diabetes
Suffering from stress or mild-moderate anxiety/depression
Suffering from social isolation

Myself and Judith are experienced yoga teachers who have received specialised training now accredited by the
Personalised Care Institute set up by NHS Improvement and the Royal College of GPs.

Patients are offered an inclusive and tailored yoga practice in a chair or on a mat and are supported by a wide range of home practice resources and the tutors.

The Yoga In Healthcare Alliance (YIHA), a registered charity, was funded by the West London NHS CCG to
create the Yoga4Health evidence-based protocol 5 years ago and now offers it as a national programme
through a national network of nearly 400 teachers. The programme is backed by two published academic
evaluations by Westminster University.

Please note this is free if you are referred by NHS but paid if self referring suggested donation between £5-£10 to cover hall hire, teachers are doing this on a voluntary basis.
