LGBTQIA+ Community Group - Woking

Weekly Wellbeing and Social Drop-In Space for LGBTQ+ Young People in Woking

Join us every Tuesday evening for a welcoming, cosy social space designed for LGBTQIA+ young adults aged 18 to 30. We take over a local cafe in Woking Town Centre to offer a safe, friendly environment where you can relax, have fun, and connect with others.

  • Games and Activities: Enjoy a variety of games, including card games, to help break the ice and make new friends.
  • Wellbeing Support: Each week features an optional wellbeing activity, plus one-to-one listening services for anyone who wants to talk.
  • Employability Help: Borrow a laptop to update your CV or get advice on work-related issues. One-to-one support is available.
  • Accessible Space: The venue is wheelchair accessible, on the ground floor, and offers sensory and fidget toys. Quiet rooms are available for those who need a calm space.

Drop-In Format: There’s no need to book or stay for the whole session. Arrive and leave whenever you like, and feel free to take breaks or pop out for food.

Supportive Community: Many staff and members are neurodivergent, and you’ll find a non-judgmental atmosphere where stimming and avoiding eye contact are accepted. If you’re nervous, you can contact Theo to arrange an early arrival or discuss any adjustments to help you feel comfortable.

Location: Woking Town Centre (exact address shared on request for safety). Nearest carpark: Woking Red Carpark (5 min walk). Nearest train and bus station: Woking Train Station (5 min walk).

Who can attend? LGBTQ+ people aged 18 to 30.
