Imago’s Young Adult Carers service supports people aged 16-25 who care for a family member, friend, or relative due to illness, disability, mental health problems, or substance use.
We understand the unique challenges faced by young adult carers and offer a friendly, practical, and confidential service to help you balance your caring responsibilities with your own needs and ambitions.
- Emotional and practical support: One-to-one guidance, information, and advice to help you manage stress and develop coping strategies.
- Personal support plan: We assess your needs and work with you to create a tailored plan for your situation.
- Social connection: Opportunities to meet other young adult carers, share experiences, and build friendships.
- Respite and activities: Take a break from caring by joining regular groups and events, including beach outings, creative workshops, bowling, laser tag, and more.
- Financial advice: Support with budgeting, benefits, and money management.
- Training and skills: Help with further education, job applications, CVs, volunteering, and personal development.
- Advocacy: We can help you manage contacts with other organisations and professionals.
Service locations: Kent (Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley, Swale), City of London, and Lewisham.
How to access: Register online or contact our central Hub by phone or email. The Hub is open Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. All support is free and confidential.
