Pilgrims Hospices is east Kent’s largest hospice charity, dedicated to helping people facing incurable illness live well in every moment. For over 30 years, Pilgrims has provided expert end of life care and support for patients and their families across east Kent.
Our compassionate team is here every step of the way, offering:

- Wellbeing Programme – creative, social, and educational activities to help you feel better and do more.
- Emotional and spiritual care for patients, families, and carers, including counselling and bereavement support.
- Hospice at Home and care on our wards, tailored to your needs and wishes.
We support carers and loved ones with dedicated wellbeing and social programmes, and offer guidance for planning and sharing future wishes. Our services are available any time, day or night, seven days a week, ensuring you always have someone to talk to.
Access is easy: You can call our 24-hour Advice Line for support, ask questions, or get a referral. We welcome feedback and strive to make every visit feel like home.
Locations: Pilgrims Hospices operates three hospices in Ashford, Canterbury, and Thanet, with a head office in Canterbury. All sites are rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by the CQC.
Cost: All care and support services are provided free of charge to patients and families.
