Peterborough Libraries & Archives offers a welcoming space for everyone to discover, learn, and connect. With ten library locations and a mobile library service, we provide access to thousands of books, e-books, audiobooks, and e-magazines for all ages and interests.

  • Free membership – join online, by phone, or in person and start enjoying our resources right away.
  • Events and activities – from children's Storytime and Rhymetime to workshops and special events, there’s something for everyone.
  • Online resources – access our digital collection 24/7 from anywhere in the world.
  • Archives and Local Studies – explore Peterborough’s rich heritage with newspapers, maps, photographs, and more, available in our dedicated search room at Central Library.
  • Mobile Library – bringing books and resources to those who find it difficult to visit a library in person.

There is a small charge for reserving items. Please contact your local library for details. Most other services, including membership and internet access, are free.
