WorkWell North West London is a free service provided by Shaw Trust, designed to help people facing health-related challenges find or keep meaningful employment.

Who can use WorkWell?

  • Age: You must be over 16 years old.
  • Location: You must live in or be registered with a GP in one of the following London boroughs: Brent, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hounslow, Hillingdon, Ealing, Westminster, or Kensington & Chelsea.
  • Voluntary: Participation is completely voluntary, and you can opt out at any time.

What does WorkWell offer?

  • Personalised support: Early help tailored to your health needs and employment goals.
  • Dedicated coaching: You’ll be paired with a Work and Health Coach for ongoing guidance.
  • Local connections: The service links you to local resources and services for comprehensive support.
  • Expert advice: Access to specialists in occupational health, mental health, and employment.
  • Job search help: Support to identify and pursue job opportunities that match your interests and skills.
  • Skill building: Help to identify and develop the skills and resources you need to return to work.
  • Confidence building: Empowerment to feel prepared and self-assured in your employment journey.
  • Follow-up support: Continued assistance even after you finish the programme to help you stay on track.

How does it work?

  • Initial consultation to understand your needs and challenges.
  • Goal setting and a personalised plan for your employment objectives.
  • Support from healthcare specialists and local services to overcome health-related barriers.

Alternative support: If WorkWell isn’t right for you, Shaw Trust offers other local employment programmes, such as Connect to Work, for people with disabilities, health conditions, or complex barriers to employment.

Cost: This service is free for eligible participants.
