Neighbourhood Mental Health Cafés offer a welcoming, safe, and accessible space for adults experiencing difficulties with their emotional wellbeing and mental health. If you need immediate support, you can simply drop in during opening hours—no appointment needed.
At the cafés, you’ll receive face-to-face support from trained staff, including:
- Referrals or signposting to longer-term support
- Wellbeing activities such as mindfulness and creative arts
- Themed workshops
- Confidential one-to-one support to help you discover coping strategies, action planning, and problem solving
How does it work? The cafés operate as a drop-in service for anyone over 18 who needs immediate mental health support. If you can’t attend in person, you can contact the team during opening hours by phone or anytime by email. If the café is busy, responses may be delayed, but staff will get back to you as soon as possible.
Who is it for? Anyone aged 18 or over who is struggling with their mental health and needs immediate support.
Location: Braunstone and other neighbourhoods across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. Please check for specific times and locations.
Further support: If the cafés are closed, you can access other local services, including helplines and online support platforms. In a crisis, please call 999 or NHS 111 for urgent medical help.
