Feeling lonely or isolated? Our Befriending Service is here to help older people across North Worcestershire build new friendships and enjoy regular social contact.
As we get older, it can become harder to get out and about, stay in touch, or form new friendships. Being at home alone can feel especially difficult. Our free Befriending Service offers regular visits from a friendly volunteer, either in your own home for a cup of tea or to accompany you to an activity, or by phone for a chat.
- Regular visits or phone calls for a friendly chat
- A trusted, listening ear to share your thoughts and feelings
- Links to other local support and services to help you stay connected
All our volunteers are carefully selected and DBS checked, so you can feel safe and supported. The service is based on friendship, trust, and respect.
