Luton Salvation Army is a welcoming Christian church and charity dedicated to supporting the local community in Luton. We offer a range of services and activities for people of all ages and backgrounds, aiming to help our neighbours thrive and feel supported.
Our weekly activities include:
- Sunday Worship Gathering at 10:30am, followed by refreshments and fellowship. Sunday School runs during worship for children.
- Debt Advice Service (by appointment): Free, confidential, and impartial support to help you manage debt, negotiate with creditors, and find realistic solutions. Face-to-face appointments are available on Tuesdays, and telephone appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays (9:30am–2:30pm).
- Tea and Toast Café (Tuesdays, 10am–12pm): Free refreshments, a warm space, friendly conversation, and signposting to further support. Everyone is welcome.
- Bible Study (Wednesdays, 10:30am–11:30am): Open to all who wish to explore faith and spirituality in a friendly group.
- Music Groups: Senior Band Practice (Tuesdays, 8pm–9:30pm), Junior Choir/YP Band Practice (Thursdays, 7pm–8pm, alternating weeks), and Songster (Adult Choir) Practice (Thursdays, 8pm).
Special Projects:
- Baby Bank: Supporting families at the start of life by providing essential baby items (by referral only, via health visitors). Donations of new and lightly used items are welcome by appointment. Financial donations can be made via our website.
Charity Shop: Our local charity shop in The Mall, Luton, accepts donations of clothing, bedding, shoes, toys, and more. Please note, the shop is not run by the church itself.
Volunteering: We rely on amazing volunteers to deliver our services. Opportunities include debt advice, gardening, and helping with our Present Appeal. If you'd like to get involved, please email us with your interest.
