Barnsley wellbeing walks is a regular programme of walks for anyone to averse. Our walks are aimed at people who need or want to improve their health and wellbeing by becoming more active. And all walks are planned and risk assessed according to our guidelines
What is a wellbeing walk?
Our walks come in all shapes and sizes, but they should be:
- Regular - consistent walks are undertaken on a frequent basis.
- Short - Ideally around 1 hour, not longer than 90 minutes
- Easy - accessible to all, particularly people who are currently inactive.
- Free - no membership or fees, except voluntary donations
- Led by trained volunteers - volunteers must complete our training prior to leading a wellbeing walk
