West Mercia Women's Aid (WMWA) offers comprehensive support for anyone affected by domestic abuse across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Worcestershire. Our mission is to create a future free from domestic abuse and violence against women and girls, ensuring everyone can live without fear and discrimination.
Our services include:
- Domestic Abuse Helplines: Free, confidential advice and support available 7am–10pm weekdays and 9am–5pm weekends and bank holidays. Dedicated helplines for each county.
- Refuge Accommodation: Safe spaces for women and children escaping abuse.
- Recovery Support: Ongoing help to rebuild lives after abuse.
- Children & Young People: Specialist support for young people affected by domestic abuse, including group and one-to-one programmes.
- Independent Domestic Violence Advisors: Expert guidance and advocacy for those at risk.
- Counselling & Therapy: Emotional support to help survivors heal.
- Support for Men: Services available for male survivors of domestic abuse.
- Training & Consultancy: Professional training for organisations and individuals.
