BUILD is a free project from Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL) that helps individuals overcome barriers to education, training, and employment.

We offer personal coaching sessions in your local area to help you build confidence, develop new skills, and gain valuable experience. Our friendly team works with you to:

  • Find employment opportunities
  • Create or update your CV
  • Support you with job searches
  • Access further education or training
  • Explore volunteering roles
  • Start your journey into self-employment

Whether you’re looking to retrain, volunteer, or simply need a helping hand to get started, BUILD is here for you. Individuals can self-refer and there is no age limit for joining the project.

We also work with VCSE organisations and education providers to help them refer individuals, fill volunteering roles, and promote BUILD in their communities.

  • Bagworth, Markfield, Ratby & surrounding villages
  • Ibstock, Measham, Nailstone & surrounding villages
  • Mountsorrel, Thurmaston, Sileby & surrounding villages

Participants must be 19 or over (there is no upper age limit for participation) 

Participants must be live in, or within 3 miles of one of the following villages, Measham, Ibstock, Nailstone, Markfield, Ratby, Bagworth, Mountsorrel, Thurmaston, Sileby
