BUILD is a free project from Voluntary Action LeicesterShire, supporting adults who face barriers to accessing education, training, and employment.

We offer personal coaching sessions in your local area to help you develop the skills and confidence you need to move forward. Our friendly team will work with you to:

  • Boost your confidence and motivation
  • Develop your skills and experience through volunteering, employment, and training
  • Support you in creating or updating your CV
  • Help you complete job searches and applications
  • Explore retraining or further education opportunities
  • Guide you on the journey to self-employment

Who can join?

  • Anyone looking for help to gain employment
  • Individuals who want to volunteer or retrain
  • People interested in self-employment
  • There is no age limit for this project

How to access: You can self-refer to the BUILD project, or be referred by a VCSE organisation or education provider working with adults aged 19+.

Areas covered: Bagworth, Markfield, Ratby & surrounding villages; Ibstock, Measham, Nailstone & surrounding villages; Mountsorrel, Thurmaston, Sileby & surrounding villages.

Get involved: To enrol or find out more, contact us by email or phone. We also welcome VCSE groups to refer individuals or advertise BUILD in their communities.

Participants must be 19 or over (there is no upper age limit for participation) 

Participants must be live in, or within 3 miles of one of the following villages, Measham, Ibstock, Nailstone, Markfield, Ratby, Bagworth, Mountsorrel, Thurmaston, Sileby
