HI Friends Carer Café is a welcoming monthly get-together for unpaid carers living in or around Histon and Impington. Whether you care for a friend, family member, or neighbour, this is a chance to connect with others in a similar role, share experiences, and support each other.
What to expect:
- Meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month (2-4pm) at Tawa Lounge, Histon.
- Enjoy a friendly, informal atmosphere with a cuppa and a chat.
- Hosted by Jo Franklin and Paul Seekings of HI Friends, who are available to talk about support for you and the person you care for.
- Occasional guest speakers share useful information for carers.
- Jo and Paul can signpost you to other local services and resources.
Access and cost:
- No need to book – just turn up! You can contact Paul in advance to check dates or times.
- Free to attend. Refreshments are available to purchase from Tawa Lounge.
- Tawa Lounge is wheelchair accessible and offers free parking at the rear of the building.
Who can attend?
- You do not have to be a resident of Histon and Impington – all unpaid carers are welcome.
This is a great opportunity to meet other carers, get practical advice, and take a break in a supportive environment.
