Diversion Support Team

The Diversion Support Team supports young people aged 10–17 in East Cambs who have had contact with the police and are facing difficulties.

Our friendly team listens to your needs and works with you to create a positive future. We help you find and take part in positive activities, supporting you every step of the way.

  • Young people aged 10–17 who have recently been in trouble with the police.
  • How we help: We offer targeted support on issues like managing emotions, making positive decisions, setting personal goals, and improving school attendance and behaviour. We also help with challenges at home, friendships, and community life.
  • What we offer: Around 6 flexible face-to-face sessions, days out, sports activities (like boxing), free gym sessions, vouchers for events, chances to win shop vouchers, and training for the future (first aid, barista skills).
  • Cost: This service is free.

Referrals are accepted from professionals, and families can also self-refer. To refer, simply email the team with the young person's name, date of birth, and contact details. After referral, a support worker will arrange to meet and discuss the best way forward.

We are here to help you build confidence, make positive choices, and find new opportunities.
