Medway Stroke Club is a welcoming and supportive group for stroke survivors and their carers in the Medway area. We offer a safe space to connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships with others who understand the journey after stroke.

What we provide:

  • Peer Support: Meet others who understand the challenges and triumphs of life after stroke.
  • Activities: Enjoy a variety of fun and stimulating activities tailored for stroke survivors, including exercise and movement sessions (such as pilates and Nordic walking), art and craft workshops (flower arranging, card making, pebble painting), games, quizzes, celebratory events, outings, and guest speakers.
  • Community: Build lasting friendships in a friendly, supportive environment.

Meetings: We meet every Wednesday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm at Rainham Cricket Club, Berengrave Park, Rainham, Kent. The venue is fully accessible and offers plenty of car parking. Light refreshments are provided at each meeting.

Transport: Arriva bus routes 132, 116, and 121 serve the venue, making it easy to reach by public transport.

Cost: Membership is free. There is a small fee to cover refreshments and hall hire at weekly meetings. Outings are provided at cost, often with group discounts available.

Who can join? All stroke survivors and their caregivers are welcome. If you are looking to connect with a friendly community, we would love to hear from you!
