Computer Skills for All is a free digital support programme for Shropshire residents, designed to help people build confidence and skills in using computers and the internet. Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to improve your digital know-how, our friendly volunteers are here to help you get online, stay safe, and make the most of technology.
What we offer:
- Free one-to-one support at council-funded digital learning hubs across Shropshire.
- Help with essential computer skills, internet safety, and staying connected.
- Access to free online courses through Learn My Way and the National Careers Service.
- Support available in Shropshire Libraries and other community centres.
- Limited free devices and internet connectivity for those unable to afford their own.
Who can benefit?
- People over 65 years
- Those living alone
- Anyone in receipt of means-tested benefits or on a low income
- Unpaid carers for friends or family members
- People receiving paid or unpaid care
- Individuals with a disability or health condition
Our digital support is delivered in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere by patient, tech-savvy volunteers. Participants consistently rate the programme highly, and many have found new confidence and independence online.

People most in need can access this free programme, and to be eligible, one or more of the following criteria must apply:
Be over 65 years
Live alone
Be in receipt of a means-tested benefit or on a low income
Provide unpaid care for a friend or family member who can’t manage without your help
Receiving paid or unpaid care
Have a disability or health condition
