Computer Skills for All is a free digital skills programme from Shropshire Council, designed to help residents build confidence and independence online. Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to improve your digital know-how, our friendly, council-funded learning hubs offer one-to-one support from tech-savvy volunteers in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Who is eligible?
- People over 65 years
- Those living alone
- Anyone in receipt of a means-tested benefit or on a low income
- Unpaid carers for friends or family members
- People receiving paid or unpaid care
- Individuals with a disability or health condition
What we offer:
- Free digital support at Shropshire Libraries and other local centres
- One-to-one tuition tailored to your needs
- Access to a limited number of free devices and internet connectivity for those unable to afford their own
- Support for people with learning difficulties and visual impairment
Our volunteers can help you learn how to use computers, stay safe online, order medication, shop online, and connect with friends and family through video calls. The programme is designed to reduce isolation, boost confidence, and make technology accessible to everyone.

Cost: All support and courses are free of charge for eligible participants.
