Who is Rethink Mental Illness?
Rethink Mental Illness is a charity that believes a better life is possible for millions of people affected by mental illness. Our vision is equality, rights, fair treatment, and the maximum quality of life for all those severely affected by mental illness. We run service and support groups across England that change people's lives and we challenge attitudes about mental illness.
About IPS Mental Health Employment Support
IPS Supported Employment is an evidence-based approach to supported employment for people who have a severe mental illness. IPS stands for Individual Placement Support. IPS supports people in their efforts to achieve steady employment in mainstream competitive jobs, either part-time or full-time.
We have three professional specialisms who deliver different aspects of IPS Mental Health Employment Support. These include Employment Specialists, Job Retention Specialists, and Peer Specialists. Here we have provided information about support that you can receive from an Employment Specialist.
We accept self-referrals, and referrals from Community Mental Health teams, GPs, and the Department For Work and Pensions.
We are currently offering employment support to Coventry residents who are not attached to a mental health treatment team.
