stem4 is a UK charity dedicated to supporting teenage mental health through evidence-based digital tools, resources, and education.
We offer a range of free, clinically developed mental health apps for young people, families, and schools, including:
- Calm Harm – helps teenagers manage or resist the urge to self-harm.
- Clear Fear – supports children and young people in managing symptoms of anxiety.
- Move Mood – assists young people in managing low mood and depression.
- Combined Minds – guides families and friends in providing mental health support.
- Worth Warrior – helps young people manage low self-worth, poor body image, and related eating disorders.
Our comprehensive library of free resources includes leaflets, videos, and guides on topics such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders, addiction, resilience, and more. These resources are designed for teenagers, parents/carers, friends, schools, and health professionals.
stem4 also provides free educational programmes for schools, including Head Ed, a teaching resource for secondary school PSHE covering stress, anxiety, depression, and resilience. We work in partnership with schools to support a whole-school approach to mental health.
We run national awareness campaigns such as Youth Mental Health Day and Parent Mental Health Day, and offer opportunities to get involved through fundraising, volunteering, and events.
All our digital services and resources are free to access and available nationally. Please note: stem4 does not provide a counselling service. For details of helplines and further support, visit our Further Advice page.
