Penrose Connects

To create a pathway that promotes an ethos of inclusion, recovery, and progression, through building confidence, training and development opportunities.

For those who are socially isolated in Luton and for those lacking a network of support around them, the first step to independence and inclusion can be to simply leave one’s home and engage with peers.

Connects creates opportunities; for training, personal development, peer mentoring, volunteering and opportunities to progress to paid employment.

The Connects weekly social group offers opportunities to learn skills; conversation building, confidence and self esteem, as well as offering visits and recreational activities.

Connects also offers a timetable of training workshops across Luton and Bedford; such as managing independence, health & fitness, photography, music, cooking, art therapy, interview skills and CV writing.
