The Mental Health & The Menopause course is a free, online group programme designed to support people experiencing mental health challenges related to the menopause. The course consists of eight, two-hour sessions delivered remotely by specialist Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and Cognitive Behavioural Therapists.
What does the course cover?
- Understanding how menopause can impact mental health, including low mood and anxiety.
- Learning Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies to manage symptoms.
- Practical tips for managing physical symptoms, thoughts, and behaviours.
- Progressive muscle relaxation, mindfulness, and grounding skills.
- Problem solving, motivational exercises, and assertiveness training.
- Support for relationships and coping in the workplace.
How does it work?
- Eight weekly group sessions (max 15 participants per group).
- Sessions are delivered online—participants need a device with video capability and internet access.
- Resources and weekly progress questionnaires are provided online.
Who runs the course? The sessions are led by trained Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and Cognitive Behavioural Therapists with expertise in supporting people with common mental health difficulties.
