NHS Health Checks

Stay on top of your health with a free NHS Health Check!

If you're aged 40-74 and living in Buckinghamshire, this free NHS Health Check is the easiest, most comprehensive way to check in on your health. Think of it as a cost-free MOT for your body, designed to spot early signs of conditions like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and more—even if you don’t have any symptoms.

  • Completely free for eligible residents
  • Quick and confidential – takes just 20-30 minutes
  • Personalised health report and advice after your check
  • Support every step of the way – if any risks are spotted, you’ll be offered free programmes to help you live a healthier, happier life (including stop smoking, weight management, and alcohol reduction)

During your NHS Health Check, our friendly and qualified health professionals will:

  • Measure your height, weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol
  • Discuss your lifestyle and family history

After your check, you’ll receive a personalised health report and advice. If needed, we’ll refer you to your GP or sign you up for one of our free lifestyle programmes.

Eligibility:

  • Aged 40-74
  • Must not have had an NHS Health Check in the last five years
  • Exclusions: Anyone taking statins, on the High-Risk Register (20%+ risk of cardiovascular disease), or with conditions such as coronary heart disease, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, previous stroke, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, TIA, peripheral arterial disease, or familial hypercholesterolemia

Booking is simple and completely free. Take a proactive step towards a healthier future—don’t wait for symptoms to appear!
