The Medway, North and West Kent Macmillan Welfare Benefits Service is a free and confidential advice service for people living with cancer, their families, and carers.

Our trained benefits advisors provide expert support to help you understand and access the financial help you are entitled to. We work in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to ensure you receive the best possible guidance.

  • Benefit advice – including entitlement checks to make sure you get the support you need.
  • Advocacy and representation – we can advocate for you and offer representation at tribunals.
  • Help with forms – our advisors can assist you in completing benefit forms and paperwork.
  • Signposting – if you need additional support, we can direct you to other relevant services.

All advice is confidential and tailored to your individual circumstances.

Service access criteria:

Anyone with a current cancer diagnosis or their partner and/or carer can access our service. Patients will need to live in the following post code areas

• BR6 & BR8

• DA1 - DA13

• ME1 - ME9 and ME14 - ME20

• TN1 to TN4 and TN8 -TN18

And their local authority area is one of these areas

• Dartford Borough Council

• Gravesham Borough Council

• Maidstone Borough Council

• Medway Council

• Sevenoaks District Council

• Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council

• Tunbridge Wells Borough Council
