Nelson’s Journey supports children and young people in Norfolk who have experienced the death of a significant person. Since 1997, we have helped thousands of bereaved children and young people across the county, providing compassionate guidance and practical support during difficult times.
Our services include:
- Support Line: Families and professionals can speak directly with a Child Bereavement Support Worker for advice and emotional support.
- Early Support Phone Service: Immediate help for families in the early weeks following a bereavement.
- Resources and Activities: Free activity sheets and guidance available online to help children and young people process their grief at home.
- School Friend Scheme: We work with local schools to raise awareness and provide safe spaces for bereaved children, including bereavement awareness training and activities.
We accept referrals from families and professionals, and our website offers a wealth of information, resources, and activities to support bereaved children and young people. Our work is made possible by the generous support of the local community, and we welcome donations and fundraising efforts to help us continue providing these essential services.
All support is free of charge. If you have concerns about a bereaved child or young person, please call our Support Line for immediate help.
