Places of Welcome offers a national network of safe places in a range of different venues that help people connect, belong and contribute. They are open to everyone at the same time each week and are a great way to meet others in the local community and share a chat and a free cup of tea and a biscuit or cake. Many Places of Welcome offer additional optional activities and services and often provide a quiet space for those that aren't ready to join in, or who simply want to feel safe and warm. They are a great way for people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures to come together without fear or judgment. All of the sessions are FREE and you can locate the ones nearest to you using the website. People are also very welcome to attend more than one each week if there are different ones registered in your area.
We ensure that everyone is greeted warmly and where possible additional needs are met. We cannot always guarantee the extent of the services available but our volunteers will always try their best to meet individual needs and offer a genuine welcome to everyone who attends.
