The City of Wolverhampton Council’s Registration Services provide comprehensive support for registering births, marriages, civil partnerships, and deaths, as well as booking civil ceremonies and ordering official certificates.
Our friendly team is here to guide you through every step, whether you are welcoming a new family member, planning a wedding, or dealing with the loss of a loved one. We offer:
- Birth registration appointments
- Death registration appointments, including guidance on new death certification reforms and medical examiner processes
- Marriage and civil partnership notices and ceremony bookings
- Ordering copies of certificates online or in person
- Certificate corrections and general advice
Appointments for death registration are carried out face to face at the Civic Centre, and must be booked once the Medical Examiner or Coroner has confirmed the cause of death. Legally, deaths should be registered within 5 days of the register office receiving the medical certificate, unless extended by the Coroner.
