What is the service?

Bikeworks runs various types of activity catering for different needs: 

The FREE Cycling for Wellbeing program 

What is it?

  • 4 week cycling support group (8 sessions over a month two times per week) for people experiencing a wide range health issues including those who are anxious or socially isolated.
  • Particpants meet new people, increase physical activity, enjoy the natural environment
  • Meet in a park and explore green, traffic-free locations in the surrounding area.
  • The program is inspired by the NHS 5 Steps to Mental Wellbeing.

Who can attend?

  • Adults who can already ride a bike around without someone supporting them.
  • Anyone experiencing physical health issues, feeling socially isolated, mental health issues such as anxiety, stress, depression or more serious mental health concerns who want to make a change to their activity levels as part of a more healthy lifestyle.

 

Where is it? Choose from courses in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park or Victoria Park. BOOK or REFER someone through our own system. 

When is the next course?

The Free All Ability Club 

What is it?

Inclusive drop-in cycling clubs for everyone regardless of age, disability or experience. We provide an opportunity to try and ride a range of adapted cycles including tandem tricycles, side-by-side and platform tricycles please for more info please contact all.ability@bikeworks.org.uk. 

We rely heavily on the good will of volunteers, so if you’d like to get involved get in touch by filling out this form here!

Who can attend?

All Ability Cycling Clubs are free to access and open to all. Particularly suitable for those with learning or physical disabilities who may not want to be part of a structured group program. Carers and support workers can come and also take part. 

Where is it?

Choose from clubs in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park or Victoria Park. Times and days vary so check here for the details.
