Dementia Day Centre - Age UK Plymouth

Age UK Plymouth's Dementia Day Centre offers specialist day care for people living with memory loss, cognitive issues, and all stages of dementia. Our experienced team provides a warm, safe, and friendly environment where clients can enjoy meaningful, varied, and personalised activities designed to support their wellbeing and independence.

What we offer:

  • Flexible day care options: choose from three-hour sessions (£36) or a full day (09:00-16:00, £65).
  • Operates five days a week (Monday to Friday).
  • Day respite for carers, giving loved ones peace of mind.
  • Free introduction and taster sessions to help ease the transition into our service.
  • Personalised support from a caring, adaptable team who get to know each client.

Activities include:

  • Painting and crafts
  • Puzzles and quizzes
  • Singing and dancing
  • Performances from theatre groups and musicians
  • Indoor sports (table tennis, boules, virtual reality cycling)
  • Baking
  • Sensory activities in our dedicated sensory room
  • Seasonal celebrations

Refreshments are available throughout the day, and our in-house catering team provides home-cooked two-course meals for clients to enjoy together.

Location & transport: The William Venton Day Centre is at 8 Memory Lane, Plymouth PL9 9GH, at the end of The Broadway's Long and Short Term Car Park (no allocated guest parking). Accessible by CITYBUS routes 5, 5A, and 48.
