Bereavement Cafe

Our weekly Bereavement Café in Cleator Moor aims to connect local people together to support each other through grief. It is free and open to everyone, whether the loss was recent or some time ago. There’s no need to register or book, and people don’t need to have received any support or care from Hospice at Home West Cumbria. Bereaved people age 18+, receive a warm welcome from our team of trained volunteers. People can attend regularly to connect with others in similar situations, or drop in for a quick chat.
The Bereavement Café gives people who are grieving access to informal peer-to-peer support. It offers the opportunity to share the experience of grief, encourage connection and reduce social isolation.
