Stroll and Sign is a welcoming, inclusive service from Include.org that brings people together for short, accessible walks in the beautiful natural spaces of Surrey. These monthly sessions are open to everyone—people with and without learning disabilities or autism, their support staff, family carers, and anyone from the wider community.
Each walk is designed to enhance both physical and mental wellbeing through gentle exercise, relaxed conversation, and mindful observation of nature. Along the way, participants learn communication skills, including Makaton signing, and may take part in fun activities like treasure hunts or creating digital chat books to help share their experiences.
Key features:
- Inclusive social opportunities for all abilities
- Speech therapy-based communication support
- Gentle exercise in green spaces
- Mindfulness and nature appreciation
- Skill-building in Makaton signing
- Monthly Saturday sessions in Surrey
- Family-friendly—sometimes even dogs join!
Whether you want to connect with others, enjoy the outdoors, or learn new communication skills, Stroll and Sign offers a relaxed, friendly way to get involved and help build a more welcoming community. Check the calendar for upcoming dates and locations.
