Join the Richmond EAL Friendship Group for a variety of friendly, welcoming classes across the borough of Richmond upon Thames!
We offer English language classes, craft sessions, healthy cooking clubs, coffee mornings, and a women’s swimming club. Our classes are designed to help you improve your English, make new friends, and feel part of the local community.
- English Language Classes: Held at multiple venues including Richmond, Whitton, Mortlake, and Ham. Suitable for all levels.
- Craft and Cooking Clubs: Enjoy creative activities and learn healthy recipes in a supportive group setting.
- Walk & Talk: Social walks in Marble Hill Park to practice English and connect with others (resumes September 2025).
- Coffee Mornings: Relaxed gatherings to chat and build friendships.
- Women’s Friendship Swimming Club: Weekly swim sessions at Teddington Hydrotherapy Pool. Annual membership is £20, with a £7 weekly swim fee (cash only).

Locations: Classes are held at Whittaker Ellis Suite (Richmond Old Town Hall), Whitton Library, Mortlake Hall, Marble Hill Park, Ham Library Annexe, ETNA Community Centre, and Teddington Hydrotherapy Pool.
Cost: Most classes are free. The swimming club requires a membership fee and weekly swim fee.
Transport: All venues are accessible by local bus routes.
