The Avenue Club at Kew Community Trust offers a vibrant timetable of classes, activities, and social events for adults in the local community. Whether you’re looking to get active, learn something new, meet others, or simply enjoy a friendly lunch, there’s something for everyone.
Classes run Monday to Friday and include:
- Exercise and fitness: Pilates, Zumba, Yoga, Tai Chi, Seated Exercises, Stretch and Strengthen, Balance & Agility, Low Impact Aerobics, Table Tennis, Walking Group
- Creative and arts: Art History, Art, Mosaic Art, Creative Writing, Knit & Stitch, Choir, Ukulele
- Social and learning: Book Club, Film Club, History Lectures, Men’s Wellbeing, IT Clinic, Bridge, Rummikubs, Lunches
- Languages: Italian (Level 1 & 2), French, Spanish
- Services: Chiropody, Hairdressing (by appointment)
Costs: Most classes cost between £5 and £10 per session, payable on a pay-as-you-go basis. Some activities, such as Book Club, Knit & Stitch, Rummikubs, and IT Clinic, are free. Table Tennis and Walking Group are donation-based. Lunch is available for £6 (2 courses).
How to join: If you’re attending for the first time, please contact the office on 020 8948 8807 to check availability and discuss any questions. Some services (e.g. Chiropody, Hairdressing) require appointments and payment is made directly to the practitioner.
Location: All activities take place at The Avenue Club, part of Kew Community Centre, St Luke’s in The Avenue, Kew, Richmond, Surrey TW9 2AJ.
