WorkWell is a free support service designed to help people with disabilities or health conditions start, stay, and succeed in work. Backed by the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department of Health and Social Care, WorkWell offers integrated work and health support as part of a national programme.
Who is it for? Anyone in Leicester, Leicestershire, or Rutland who:
- Needs support to remain in work
- Needs help managing a condition to return to work after sickness absence
- Needs support to start work
What does WorkWell offer?
- Expert assessment of health-related barriers to employment
- Personalised return-to-work or thrive-in-work planning, addressing physical, psychological, and social needs
- Employer liaison (with participant consent) to share work plans and provide advice
- Advice on workplace adjustments
- Ongoing, locally determined support appointments to review progress and recommend further actions
How to access WorkWell:
- Referral through your employer, local services, GP, Jobcentre Plus, or self-referral

The patient must be over 16 years of age and living in or registered with a GP or Job Centre in North West Leicestershire. They must have the right to work in the UK. They must also have a disability or a long term condition
