The Avenue Club at Kew Community Trust offers a vibrant weekly timetable of classes, activities, and social events for adults in the local community. Whether you're looking to get active, learn something new, meet others, or simply enjoy a friendly lunch, there's something for everyone.
Our activities include:
- Exercise classes: Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, Seated Exercises, Stretch and Strengthen, Balance & Agility, Low Impact Aerobics, and Strength & Impact (by appointment).
- Creative and learning sessions: Art History, Art, Mosaic Art, Creative Writing, Knit & Stitch, Choir, Ukulele, Book Club, Film Club, History Lectures, Italian and Spanish language classes, and French.
- Social and wellbeing: Men’s Wellbeing group, Rummikubs, Table Tennis, Bridge, Walking Group, and a 2 Course Lunch served twice weekly.
- Practical support: Chiropody and Hairdressing (by appointment), IT Clinic (free).
How it works:
- Most classes are held at The Avenue Club, Kew Community Centre, St Luke’s in The Avenue, Kew, TW9 2AJ.
- Sessions are pay-as-you-go, typically costing between £5 and £10 per class. Some activities, such as Book Club, Rummikubs, Knit & Stitch, and IT Clinic, are free or donation-based.
- Lunch is available for £6 per person.
- Some services (e.g. Strength & Impact, Chiropody, Hairdressing, Ukulele) are paid directly to the instructor or practitioner.
Who can join? All adults are welcome. If you are attending for the first time, please contact the office to check availability and discuss any access needs.
