Citizens Advice 1066 is your local, independent charity providing free, confidential advice and support to people living in Hastings and Rother. We offer help over the phone and face-to-face by appointment, supporting you with a wide range of issues to improve your wellbeing and financial security.
How we help:
- Financial Capability: Get help with reducing utility bills, accessing local grants and vouchers for energy costs, benefit checks to maximise your income, and budgeting advice.
- Money Advice Service: Specialist support for managing debt, including debt write-offs, affordable repayment plans, debt relief orders, and bankruptcy advice.
- Energy Advice: Dedicated team to help you save on energy bills, access energy efficiency measures, apply for grants, and get crisis fuel vouchers. We also help you understand your bills and negotiate with suppliers.
- Digital Inclusion: Support to access the internet, free and low-cost training, and digital devices. Self-refer online or call for help.
We also provide information and advice on benefits, work, consumer issues, relationships, housing, law and rights, discrimination, tax, healthcare, and education.

We aim to respond within 5 working days and prioritise urgent cases. All advice is free, confidential, and impartial.
Visit us: Our Alfred Street reception is open for face-to-face appointments. Please contact us first to arrange a visit.
