The WI is the largest voluntary women's organisation in the UK, welcoming women from all walks of life.
Since 1915, the WI has been bringing women together to inspire, learn, campaign, and make a difference in their communities. With hundreds of local groups across England, Wales, Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man, as well as virtual WIs, there is a place for everyone to connect and get involved.
- Join and Support: Become a WI Member, WI Supporter, or start your own WI. Membership offers opportunities to socialise, learn new skills, and participate in campaigns that matter to you.
- Lifelong Learning: Access a wide range of educational activities, workshops, and events designed to empower and inspire women.
- Campaigns: The WI campaigns on issues such as equal pay, climate change, mental health, and microplastic pollution, giving members a voice on topics that matter.
- Community and Friendship: Local WIs offer a welcoming space to meet new people, share experiences, and support each other.
- Virtual WIs: If you prefer to connect online, virtual WIs are available for flexible participation.
How to join: Use the 'Find a WI' tool on our website to locate your nearest group or learn more about virtual options. Anyone is welcome to subscribe to our monthly newsletter for updates, stories, and resources.
