Imago Young Carers Services support children and young people under 18 who help care for a family member, relative, or friend with a disability, long-term illness, mental health issue, or substance misuse problem.
We work across Kent, East Sussex, and the London boroughs of Bexley, Greenwich, Havering, Lewisham, and Southwark, offering practical advice, emotional support, and opportunities for young carers to thrive.
- 1:1 and group support – at home or in school, tailored to each young carer's needs.
- Individual needs assessment – understanding your situation, aspirations, and challenges.
- Outings, activities, and trips – make friends, build confidence, and have fun away from caring responsibilities.
- Workshops and skill-building – creative activities, money management, first aid, and emotional wellbeing.
- School support – raising awareness among teachers and staff to better support young carers.
- Young Carer Festivals – annual events for respite, friendship, and adventure.
- Imago Young Carers Hub – your first point of contact for information, advice, and signposting, open Monday–Friday 9am–5pm.
We help young carers balance their caring role with leading healthier, happier lives. Our services are designed to reduce stress, boost confidence, and ensure young carers know they are not alone.
Eligibility: For children and young people under 18 who provide care for someone in their family. Age eligibility and specific services may vary by location.
