Medway Small Steps

Support and advice for families whose children are either pre or post diagnosis or displaying behavious of Autism and/or ADHD. From 0-18 and 18- 25 if they have a SEN diagnosis.  We deliver exciting and engaging workshops and parenting courses on autism and ADHD related topics. We hope to empower you to better understand and support your child. We welcome referrals from parents with children and from professionals who are supporting the family.                                                                                                                               We have a responsive phone service to help with initial enquiries
Families can email our Small Steps team for general advice/guidance/signposting
We deliver regular informal coffee mornings at a variety of community venues across the Medway Towns
We deliver workshops on topics such as sleep issues, sensory issues, introduction to autism, introduction to ADHD
We deliver online parenting courses - Cygnet (for autism) and New Forest Parenting Program (for ADHD)
Sign posting and referrals to other support providers such as SENDIAS, Family Line, Early help
Referrals into our Positive Behaviour Support courses
Referrals into our Positive Behaviour Support one-to-one offer 
We offer professional workshops on ADHD and autism
We give useful information through our Medway Small Steps Facebook page

Service access criteria:

We welcome referrals from parents with children from age 0 to 19 and up to age 25 with a diagnosed SEN. We also welcome referrals from professionals who are supporting the family. Families must be resident in Medway.
