Stepping Forward Project to support people affected by Stroke

This unique and specialised project is provided FREE to help those who have had a stroke take steps forward in their recovery. The project supports your wellbeing through a mix of dance based physical activity, nutrition advice and peer support. Tracey Barnes from Dancing for Health uses music and rhythm as a great way to get your body moving after a brain injury, the activities can be personnel centred and linked to your individual physical and cognitive ability. Peer mentoring from Kate Allatt, who shares her own inspiring stroke story and lived experience, and provides regular interactive group discussions to tap into what matters to you, so you have the choice and control over your 'new you' to live your best life moving forward. Yolande, from Public Health Collaboration, will empower, inspire and educate you about maintaining good metabolic health through lifestyle changes. You will understand how your lifestyle choices can impact your health and receive nutrition coaching personal to you.

Every Tuesday at 1.00pm Salvation Army Citadel, Psalter lane, Sheffield S11 8YN. Call 07721 046757 to book your free place. Carers or family members also welcome.
