Our mental health can be affected by lots of different things, but our finances, especially the cost of living, and the stress and anxiety that come with it, can have a big impact upon our mental health.

Managing our money is something we all have to do, but it’s not always that simple, and if you’re struggling to keep on top of your finances then your mental health may be suffering too.

Who is this service for?
If you’re struggling with your finances and don’t know how to start sorting things out, then we can help you.

​You might be getting help for your mental health but it might not be touching on your financial worries. We can help you develop strategies that work for you.

To access our support you must be

  • aged 18+
  • living in Teesside

What we can do to help you

We know that people grow in confidence when they have the tools, ability and support to manage their finances.

There are lots of ways we can support you depending upon your needs, but we’ll start by getting to know you and understanding your situation.

Then we’ll look at what may have caused you to struggle and how you can spot the signs in the future. Working together we’ll develop a practical plan to get you back on track, teach you tools to stay on top of your money, and signpost you to other support services too.

All the while, we’ll be there to listen to you without judging, and provide emotional support to empower you to take back control of your finances and your mental health too.

Service access criteria: aged 18+, living in Teesside, mild to moderate mental health, experiencing money worries, mental health impacts on money management, not currently in mental for financial crisis, willing to engage in guided self-help
