The 11-19 Years School Nursing Service in Havering offers confidential support to young people in secondary schools, focusing on health and emotional wellbeing.
School Nurse Drop-ins: Students can access drop-in sessions at their school on set days each month. These sessions are private and allow young people to discuss any health or wellbeing concerns. All information is kept confidential unless there is a risk of harm.
- Sexual Health & Healthy Relationships: School Nurses provide advice on sexual health and can signpost students to local services. They also offer guidance on what healthy relationships look like.
- Healthy Lifestyle Support: Nurses deliver health promotion and can help students develop healthier habits, referring to other services if needed.
- Self-Referral: Young people can refer themselves, or parents can refer their children for support.
How to Access: Please check with your school for the dates of School Nurse drop-ins. For further support or to make a referral, contact the team directly.
