Safe Places Shropshire is a network of short-term safe havens across Shropshire, designed to support people who may need additional help or reassurance when out and about in the community.
Our Safe Places offer a welcoming environment for anyone who feels vulnerable, lost, or in need of assistance. Whether you need directions, help contacting someone, or just a safe space to gather yourself, our network is here for you.
- Find a Safe Place: Use our website to search for Safe Places near you by location or region.
- Who can use Safe Places? Anyone who feels they need support while in public, including people with disabilities, older adults, or those experiencing distress.
- How it works: Visit a Safe Place and let staff know you need help. They can offer short-term support, contact someone for you, or help you feel safe until you are ready to continue your journey.
- Locations: Safe Places are available in towns across Shropshire, including Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Market Drayton, Ironbridge, Church Stretton, Wellington, Madeley, Bridgnorth, and Ludlow.
All services are free and confidential. Our aim is to make Shropshire a safer, more inclusive place for everyone.
