Learn how to repair your own clothes, or make a whole new outfit!
Fabric Lab is a collective of local residents that come together to collaborate on exciting projects and help make Barking & Dagenham a more connected and sustainable place to live.
There are opportunities to learn new skills, including sewing, pattern cutting, embroidery, and more. All levels of skills are encouraged to get involved, from those who had never used a sewing machine to skilled makers who can share their skills with the community.
You can join us to learn about how to recycle old clothes and textiles to make something new and unique, to make gifts for friends and family, or just have a cup of tea and a biscuit with some new friends.
The group meets regularly and keeps in touch via a WhatsApp group - email us on whitehouse@createlondon.org to get involved and find out more.
Young people under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/carer at all times.
