Imago Carer Support provides free, friendly and practical support for unpaid adult carers aged 18+ in Kent (Dartford, Swanley, Gravesham, Swale), City of London, and Lewisham. If you care for a friend or family member due to illness, disability, mental health problems or addiction, Imago is here to help you balance your caring role with your own wellbeing.
What we offer:
- Personalised support plans – including Statutory Carers Assessments and ongoing reviews as your needs change.
- Information, advice and guidance – to help you understand your rights and feel equipped for your caring role.
- Emotional and practical support – to help you manage stress, anxiety, and the pressures of caring.
- Financial support and advice – including help applying for Carers Allowance and managing personal budgets.
- Opportunities for personal growth – access to volunteering, training, education, employment, workshops, and activities to develop new skills.
- Connections with other organisations – support with benefits, health, social care, council, education, and employment contacts.
- Emergency planning – including the Kent Carers’ Emergency Card for peace of mind if you are suddenly unavailable.
- Championing carers – raising awareness and advocating for carers’ needs.
Join our regular support and activity groups in Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley, Swale, City of London, and Lewisham. Meet other carers, share experiences, and take a break from your caring responsibilities. Groups include coffee mornings, walk and talk sessions, and wellbeing activities, both in person and online.

- Phone lines are open Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm.
- All services are free for eligible adult carers.
