Weight Management Programme

ShapeUp4Life (SU4L) is a FREE 12-week weight management programme designed to help people lose weight and keep it off for the long term. Delivered via a user-friendly App, virtual group sessions, and in community settings, ShapeUp4Life offers accessible and culturally sensitive support for anyone looking to improve their health and wellbeing.

Our group sessions, held during the day, evening, and weekends, are interactive and practical, with each weekly 1.5-hour session including:

  • 45-minute nutrition workshop covering topics like snacking, portion sizes, fats, and sugar
  • 45 minutes of light exercise such as circuits, boxercise, resistance bands, and seated exercise

The programme focuses on changing behaviours, increasing activity levels, and making educated choices to support sustainable weight loss. Participants are encouraged to work towards a 5% weight loss goal by week 12, with follow-up sessions at 6 and 12 months to help maintain progress.

ShapeUp4Life App is available for download on Android and iOS, making the programme accessible anytime, anywhere. The App features a bespoke assessment at the start and end of the programme to track progress and evaluate success. It also includes culturally appropriate recipes and dietary advice, and is suitable for people with a variety of health conditions, including type 2 diabetes.
